In keeping with long-standing Northside-283 tradition, the lodge donated $500.- worth of school supplies to nearby North Shore Elementary School. The school received its “most wanted” supplies just in time for start of the new term. Principal Nita Deason and Family & Community Liaison Michelle Brake gratefully took receipt of the supplies, with sincere thanks to the Lodge.
Just as a quick reminder, our regular monthly breakfast, is THIS SUNDAY, August 22. As usual, we will be serving from 8 am until 10 am. The suggested donation per meal served is $5.00.
Come out and enjoy a nice meal, bring family, bring a friend, or someone interested in the Fraternity. We look forward to seeing and serving you!

You are summoned to attend the Stated Communication of Northside Lodge No. 283 F. & A. M., to be held on the 16th day of August A.D. 2010 / A.L. 6010, at 7:30 P.M., for action on the proposed Resolution amending the ByLaws:
4.01 DUES- Every member of this Lodge shall pay to the Secretary for the use of the Lodge the sum of $95.00 per annum, which sum shall be due and payable in advance on or before the first day of each Masonic Year shall begin on the 29th day of December of each year and end on the 27th day of December of the following year, except life members, honorary members and those members whose dues are remitted in accordance with Masonic Law. The FAMILY RESOURCES FOUNDATION, a local Pinellas Park based non-profit organization, is hosting a Poker Run.
It will begin and end at BIFF BURGER, on Saturday, September 25.

Spread the word to as many brothers as possible, as this is a great public event to help show our Fraternity’s benevolent and charitable nature. Wear your Masonic Shirts, Jackets, Hats, Vest, etc. Show some “Square-&-Compasses”.
As a reminder, this coming Saturday, July 17, Zone 6 will be having a School of Instruction at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center; Tampa. Registration @ 8:30 AM. Please note: 2010 Dues Card is Required!
We had a our 4th July cook-out (a first in a long time), indoors, in our dining-room, due to inclement weather. Nonetheless the event was well attended and the rain didn’t dampen anyone’s spirit. Burgers, Hotdogs and all the usual side-items were enjoyed by all.

Yesterday, our lodge was honored to welcome our newly appointed and installed District Deputy Grand Master R:.W:. Alan S. Rosenthal during his first visit to our lodge in his official capacity. We had a great meeting and were happy to welcome our D-21 DDGM and his Committee-Men.
Our newly appointed and installed District 21 Deputy Grand Master, R:.W:. Alan S. Rosenthal, will be making his first official visit to Northside Lodge on June 21, 2010.
We will be serving food BEFORE the lodge meeting starting at 6:30 pm.
Please attend if possible, and assist us in extending a warm welcome to our own D-21 DDGM.

This coming Saturday, May 22, we will be conducting a special Master Mason Degree at the Masonic Home (in St. Petersburg). We will be raising a Brother who works at the Masonic Home. Residents of the Home will be actively participating in the degree work. A light lunch will be served after the Degree. Please come and attend if you can.
